The start of a new year is the perfect time to hit refresh—not just on your goals but on your skincare too. Your skin, much like the rest of you, thrives on care and attention. Whether it’s giving it a little extra hydration, feeding it with nutrient-rich foods, or simply protecting it from the sun, small changes can make a big difference. Let’s set some easy, achievable resolutions that’ll have your skin glowing with health and happiness all year long!

HYDRATE FROM WITHIN

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin plump and hydrated. Aim for at least 6–8 glasses daily.

EAT COLOURFUL FOODS

  • Sweet Potatoes and Carrots: Rich in beta carotene, they act as a natural sunblock and can give your skin a healthy glow.

  • Capsicums and Tomatoes: Packed with vitamin C to boost collagen and beta carotene to protect against sun damage.

  • Walnuts and Broccoli: Excellent sources of zinc, essential for wound healing and skin repair. Walnuts are also rich in omega 3's.

LIMIT SUGAR

High sugar intake can harm your collagen and elastin, leading to sagging skin and wrinkles. Opt for natural sweeteners like honey or fruits instead.

NOURISH YOUR SKIN WITH OMEGA-3s

Omega-3s help keep your skin hydrated, strong, and protected. They can reduce redness, prevent sun damage, and fight inflammation, which can help with acne and aging. You’ll find omega-3s in fatty fish like salmon and mackerel, or in plant-based sources like flaxseeds and walnuts.

EAT DARK CHOCOLATE (Yes, Really!)

Choose chocolate with at least 70% cocoa for its antioxidants. It can improve hydration, smoothness, and even protect your skin from UV damage.

PROTECT YOUR SKIN DAILY

Wear sunscreen every single day, even when it’s cloudy. Your future self will thank you! UVA which is the most damaging, (think A = ageing) is around rain, hail or shine!

STAY ACTIVE & SLEEP WELL

Regular exercise promotes better blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to your skin. And never underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep—it’s when your skin repairs and regenerates.

By giving your skin the care it deserves, you'll feel good in the skin you're in. Remember, healthy skin doesn’t mean perfect skin. It means skin that feels strong, vibrant, and yours!
